Data Analytics Officer at Polaris Bank Limited, Lagos, Nigeria

The Data Analytics Officer will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. The role will support strategic initiatives by leveraging data to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and inform product development.​​

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  
• Perform statistical analysis and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities for process improvement and business growth.
  
• Develop predictive models and apply machine learning techniques to support forecasting and trend analysis.
  
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations based on data insights to optimize business strategies.
  
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards.
  
• Stay updated on emerging analytics tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance analytical capabilities.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or certifications in analytics is a plus.
  
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  
• Experience with big data platforms and cloud-based analytics solutions is an advantage.
