We are looking for an experienced data scientist to work directly on improving the Grid Platform and PyTorch Lightning. You are passionate about deriving insights from exploratory data analysis and visualizing data sets to further our understanding of our customers and users. You will report to Marc Ferradou, our VP of Strategy, and work closely with each team to enable data-driven decision-making across the company.

What you’ll do

• Generate key insights to inform business OKRs, develop the product roadmap, and identify revenue opportunities based on data exploration and statistical analysis.
• Leverage your data science and machine learning expertise to build models for user segmentation and churn analysis while leading A/B testing and surfacing new projects that directly impact our customers.
• Partner with our data engineer to make sure that we collect the right data at the right cadence to answer the right questions.
• Champion data literacy, transparency, and customer understanding by designing real-time dashboards and creating reports for technical and non-technical audiences.

Our interviews will not only give us insight into your skillset, but give you insight into our company.

• Introduction- 30 minutes: You will speak with Scott, our Recruiter, about your background and what you are looking for in your next role. Scott will share some information with you about our team and the projects you will be involved in. If both parties decide that there is a match, we will proceed with a technical interview.
• Hiring Manager Chat – 30 minutes: You will speak with Marc about your approach to building out the data science and machine learning practice at a startup company. From designing models and leading A/B testing to coding and developing dashboards, you will showcase your strengths and explain your biggest career accomplishments.
• Technical Interviews – 3 Sessions of 45 minutes each: We will test your coding ability in Python and SQL, give you an open-ended machine learning problem to solve, and provide a challenge related to problems we’re working on here at Grid. Being able to find the optimal solution in the given time and walking each person through your approach is key to success.
• Culture Chat – 30 minutes: We take time to speak with every candidate about Ethics in AI, our values, and how our technology can be used to create a positive social impact.
• CEO Interview – 30 minutes: William Falcon, our CEO, likes to connect with every person joining our company. Be prepared to talk a bit about what you’ve learned and why you’d like to work with us.
• Offer: We try our best to give you a decision within 24 hours of each interview. At this point, we will present our offer and provide additional context about our stock options and growth trajectory.
• Start Date: Given our early stage, we would like all of our new hires to start within 4 weeks of acceptance.
