Eligibility
To qualify for the GEMS Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

Begin an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in September 2026.

Be a current student at a GEMS school in the UAE, Qatar, or Egypt.

Choose the University of Sheffield as their firm or insurance choice by 4:00 pm (UK time), Wednesday 3 June 2026.

Be self-funded and classified as an overseas fee-paying student.

Not sponsored by any organisation.

Note: Courses in Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200) are not eligible.
Scholarship Benefits

Total value: Up to £17,500 for the duration of the course.

£10,000 tuition fee discount in the first year.

£2,500 tuition discount for each subsequent year, subject to maintaining:

At least 60% average and
-
120 credits in the previous academic year.

Automatic eligibility for the International Undergraduate Scholarship (£2,500 per year) in later years, based on performance.

This is a competitive award evaluated by a panel of senior university staff. Selection is based on:

Additional Information

All undergraduate courses are eligible except Medicine and Dentistry.
