Sales Recruiter at GitLab, Remote (United Kingdom)
As a Senior Sales Recruiter on GitLab’s Talent Acquisition team, you’ll play a central role in hiring the sales talent that drives GitLab’s growth. As GitLab continues to scale in competitive global markets, you’ll help shape and execute recruitment strategies that support our go-to-market plans. Partnering closely with sales leaders and cross-functional partners, you’ll build trusted advisory relationships, use data to inform decisions, and iterate on our recruiting processes. You’ll own research-based sourcing strategies for a wide range of sales roles and ensure that representative recruitment practices are integrated into your work and that of the broader team. You’ll also help refine our recruiting playbooks and tools so that our strategy, processes, and operations are easy to understand and act on in our all-remote, values-driven environment, while delivering an excellent candidate experience across multiple time zones.
What you’ll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for Sales roles across multiple segments and regions, from intake and sourcing through offer and close.
- Act as a strategic talent advisor to Sales and cross-functional leaders, using market insights and data to shape hiring plans and decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with hiring managers, coaching them on hiring best practices and driving alignment throughout the process.
- Use data to inform decisions, track progress against key recruiting metrics, and iterate on processes to improve quality, speed, and candidate experience.
- Design and execute research-based sourcing strategies for each role, building diverse pipelines through outbound outreach, networks, and tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and SeekOut.
- Champion and embed representative and inclusive recruiting practices in your own searches and support the broader team in doing the same.
- Ensure an excellent, consistent candidate experience at every stage by clearly setting expectations around role details (including location, schedule, and compensation ranges), outlining the interview process and timelines, and communicating clearly and proactively in an all remote, asynchronous environment.
- Collaborate with fellow recruiters and People team partners to build shared resources, playbooks, and assets that elevate the Sales Recruiting function.
What you’ll bring
- Strong recruiting expertise with the ability to understand ambiguous hiring needs, advise stakeholders, and translate business priorities into clear, effective recruiting strategies for sales and go-to-market roles.
- Proven experience managing a full-cycle recruiting process for sales positions across multiple levels and regions, balancing competing priorities while maintaining consistent hiring quality and speed.
- Experience sourcing and engaging talent in highly competitive markets, including building research-based sourcing strategies and talent maps for niche and senior sales roles.
- Familiarity working with recruiting tools and platforms (such as an Applicant Tracking System, LinkedIn Recruiter, and market insights tools) to track pipelines, manage workflows, and report on results.
- Ability to communicate clearly and candidly with candidates and stakeholders through written updates, live conversations, and data-informed narratives across technical and non-technical audiences, including leading transparent conversations about compensation, work arrangements, role expectations, and interview timelines.
- Comfort working in an all-remote, asynchronous environment, including managing a high volume of requisitions across time zones and breaking work into clear, iterative milestones.
- Alignment with GitLab’s values and openness to applying transferable skills from related recruiting, talent acquisition, or people operations roles, with a strong focus on inclusive and representative hiring practices.
- Experience recruiting in a public technology company and supporting global, distributed sales teams is helpful but not required.
