What you will be doing:

• Foster the Elastic Community in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
• Create technical content around the Elastic Stack for talks, blog posts, videos, and demos
• Speak at virtual and in-person events in your region and throughout EMEA
• Answer technical questions on Discuss, Slack, social media, and at events
• Help users be successful with Elastic’s stack, solutions, and cloud offering
• Work on internal tooling and applications

What you bring along:

• Strong technical background and experience
• Familiarity with and passion for the Elastic Stack
• Demonstrated ability to create compelling content about technology — including speaking, writing, and demoing
• Empathy for the community to help them solve their issues, provide internal feedback to make Elastic’s products better, and fix pain points where possible
• Comfort working with a highly distributed team
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English

Bonus points:

• Proficiency in additional language(s) — speaking or programming
• Involvement in past Elastic Community events as speaker or organizer
• Experience with open source software or commercial open source companies
