The Role: Finance and Operations Manager

We are seeking to hire an experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join our client’s growing company.

As a Finance Manager, you will manage and ensure the organization’s financial health, by aligning with the Head of Finance on financial strategies and planning for the long-term financial goal of the organization. You will analyze everyday financial activities and provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.

To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, have impeccable commercial awareness, and have a keen interest in helping to achieve organizational growth.

Reports To; CFO & CEO

Direct Report; Account Payable & Receivable Officers, Account Assistant & Financial Analyst

Works & Interacts With; with the Finance team and other members of the TWN Network.

Work Location; Corporate Office at Ikeja and Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, and any other project location, as may be required to complete work responsibilities.

Work Mode; Fully Onsite

Contract Type; Fixed-term Contract Employment for 6 months, with an opportunity to be retained as a permanent employee, or contract renewed given satisfactory performance and completion of key milestones and KPI Deliverables.

Compensation(Monthly Gross): NGN 650,000 to NGN 1,000,000, the final offer is to be decided by the level of expertise, qualification, and capacity.

Responsibilities:

– Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

– Investigate ways to improve profitability and analyze markets for business opportunities.

– Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company (Account Payables and receivables such as; Payroll, Invoicing, Procurement, Project financing, etc.)

– Ensure tax compliance and liaise with relevant regulatory bodies for periodical audits and remittances and fillings.

– Collaborate with other departments on project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests, ensuring profitability on every project.

– Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects for the organization.

– Make estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization.

– Complete financial reports, monitor accounts, lead the month-end closing process, and conduct monthly financial forecasts.

– Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

– Achieve a proper mix of equity and debt to minimize cost and maximize operational profit.

– Strategize on fund procurement through banks and other financial institutions.

– Prudently make investments in assets that maximize returns.

– Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.

– Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.

– Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments.

– Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organization.

About You:

– A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from any accredited university.

– Professional Certifications with CIMA, ACCA, and ICAN. Other relevant advance and professional training are desirable.

– Proven track record of excellence and 4+ years of experience as a Finance Manager, or 7+ years of experience in other Finance or Accounting related positions.

– Ability to Use, Understand or Apply:

Proficiency with Accounting Software and other financial planning software.
In-depth understanding of the entire Microsoft Office suite, and other Google systems.
Advanced Proficiency with Financial reporting and data mining tools such as Excel, SQL, Access, etc.
– Ability to / Demonstrate:

Synthesize large complex data into actionable information.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
In-depth Analytical thought process to effectively conceptualize situations and solve problems.
A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
Excellent people, conflict management, business judgment/awareness, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire confidence and dedication.
Effective Time Management and efficiency at working and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
Optimism, with a dogged and never-give-up attitude.
Professional written and oral communication (ability to speak aptly, concisely, and coherently) and excellent report writing and presentation.
Great interpersonal and collaborative skills.
