Bumpa is building the infrastructure to power digital commerce for African sellers. We believe that African MSMEs have the right to participate fully in the global economy, hence our mission is to make available no-code commerce services to ensure that all sellers, regardless of background or size, have access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their business.

Fullstack Engineer at Bumpa

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the design team to implement web apps design.
2. Optimize existing apps/APIs for performance and scalability.
3. Create documentation for new and existing API endpoints
4. Write, test and deploy clean and well-documented code in line with modern web development best practices

Qualifications

1. Experience with Test Driven Development
2. Modern Javascript experience (Vue, webpack, Livewire etc.)
3. Advance Laravel PHP knowledge
4. Proficiency with HTML, CSS/SCSS
5. Proficiency with Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g MySQL, MongoDB)
6. Strong understanding of Object-oriented design partners

Nice to have

1. Knowledge of other languages/frameworks (Python and Node)
2. React/React Native Knowledge
3. Knowledge Tailwind CSS
4. Experience working with and integrating 3rd party APIs and Libraries
5. Amazon AWS Experience
6. Knowledge of Elastic Search
