Hardware Operations Specialist at Tjekvik, Remote
As our Hardware Operations Specialist, you’ll own everything related to our physical terminals — from coordinating international shipments to refurbishing returned units and supporting customers with hardware-specific issues.
You’ll be the person who knows our terminals inside and out, literally. When a unit comes back from the field, you’ll assess it. When a dealership has a hardware question, you’ll have the expertise to help. When a shipment needs coordinating, you’ll make it happen.
This role requires someone who can think like a vendor: always asking “does this make sense?” before committing resources.
What You’ll Own
Your Mission:
- Manage all logistics for terminals and components across European markets
- Refurbish and repair returned or malfunctioning terminals
- Handle hardware-specific support cases with customers
- Apply business thinking to operational decisions
Specific Areas You’ll Own:
- International terminal and component shipments
- Inventory management and stock oversight
- Hardware diagnostics and repair of warehouse terminals
- Coordination with service providers and suppliers
- Hardware support escalations
Your Background
Essential:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations
- Hands-on ability to repair hardware (computers, electronics, or similar)
- Comfortable working with inventory systems and shipment coordination
- Fluent English (our working language)
- Based in Europe, preferably near Kolding, Denmark (for occasional warehouse work)
- Thrives in a remote-first environment with high autonomy
Bonus Points:
- Experience with inventory/warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems
- Background in hardware or technology environments
- Familiarity with international shipping and customs documentation
- Speak Spanish, French, or Italian
What Success Looks Like
- 30 days: You understand our terminal portfolio, logistics flows, and key supplier relationships
- 90 days: You’re independently managing logistics and handling hardware support cases
- 180 days: You’re operating with full autonomy, balancing throughput with smart business decisions
Your Growth Path
- Year 1: Master our logistics operations, own hardware refurbishment, build efficient processes
- Year 2: Full ownership of hardware operations with complete autonomy
- Year 3: Expand into strategic initiatives around hardware lifecycle
