Job Title: Inventory Supervisor
Location: Oniru, Lagos
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
👉🏽1. Inventory Supervision & Team Management
• Oversee inventory processes, ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded.
• Conduct regular audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain an inventory accuracy rate of 98% or higher on monthly stock counts.
• Develop policies to improve productivity and efficiency in stock handling.
👉🏽2. Stock Control & Compliance
• Complete 100% of scheduled audits and achieve a variance of less than 1% between
physical and system records.
• Perform regular audits and coordinate physical stock counts, investigating discrepancies.
• Advise on stock control measures to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Maintain reorder levels, monitor inventory shrinkage, and ensure process adherence.
• Ensure stock-out incidents are kept below 1% of total inventory items monthly.
👉🏽3. Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports highlighting stock variances and order
statuses.
• Analyze inventory trends to identify fast and slow-moving items and report on inventory
usage.
• Compile reports on inventory write-offs and present findings to management.
• Provide accurate, on-time reports with a 100% on-time submission rate each MPRs.
👉🏽4. Warehouse Organization & Safety
• Maintain organized warehouse spaces to enhance stock accessibility and safety.
• Ensure inventory is stored according to health and safety regulations, minimizing damage or loss.
• Sustain a zero-incident record for warehouse safety and ensure 100% compliance with safety standards.
👉🏽5. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
• Work with suppliers and the production team to ensure timely stock deliveries that meet
business needs.
• Address discrepancies and monitor supplier performance for continuous improvement.
👉🏽6. System Management & Process Improvement
• Oversee the use of inventory management systems, ensuring data accuracy and
recommending system improvements.
• Implement new inventory processes and technologies to streamline operations and reduce
costs.
👉🏽7. Team Leadership & Cross-Department Coordination
• Lead and mentor inventory staff, providing training on best practices and inventory control systems.
• Assign tasks and set performance goals to improve productivity and team cohesion.
• Achieve a 100% completion rate for staff training programs and maintain a monthly error rate of less than 2% in inventory documentation.
• Collaborate with the logistics, production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure
product availability aligns with customer demand.
• Act as a proactive liaison, fostering clear communication with these teams to ensure
seamless collaboration.
Requirements
👉🏽Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
👉🏽Experience: 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
👉🏽Technical Proficiency: Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, ERPs, Oracle)
Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
