Job Title: IT Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Officer to manage our microfinance bank’s technology infrastructure, ensure system security and efficiency, and provide technical support to staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Management:
– Maintain and upgrade hardware, software, and network systems.
– Ensure server, database, and application security.
– Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.

2. Technical Support:
– Provide helpdesk support to staff.
– Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
– Resolve technical problems promptly.

3. Network Administration:
– Configure and manage network devices.
– Ensure network security and connectivity.
– Monitor network performance.

4. System Development and Integration:
– Collaborate with developers on system enhancements.
– Integrate new systems with existing infrastructure.
– Test and deploy software updates.

5. Cybersecurity:
– Implement security measures to prevent data breaches.
– Conduct vulnerability assessments.
– Develop incident response plans.

6. Compliance and Reporting:
– Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
– Generate IT reports for management.
– Maintain accurate IT documentation.

Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
2. Certification: CompTIA A+, CCNA, or equivalent.
3. Experience: 3-5 years in IT, preferably in banking or finance.
4. Skills:

– Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and network operating systems.
– Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL).
– Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications:
1. Experience with microfinance software (e.g., BankOne, Mambu, Temenos).
2. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
3. Familiarity with ITIL framework.
