Junior Account Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the finance department. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist in preparing tax returns and other compliance-related activities.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
• Provide support in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship experience will be considered).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
