Job Title: Logistics Supervisor
Location: Oniru, Lagos
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Key Responsibilities
👉🏽1. Multi-Branch Operations Management
- • Coordinate logistics activities across multiple branches to ensure timely stock replenishment and consistent product availability.
- • Develop and manage branch-specific logistics plans, adapting to the unique demands of each location.
- • Monitor stock movement and coordinate inter-branch transfers as needed to balance inventory levels.
👉🏽2. Inventory and Stock Management
- • Supervise inventory control procedures across all branches, implementing cycle counts and regular audits to maintain accuracy.
- • Monitor inventory levels, identifying low-stock items and coordinating with suppliers to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- • Oversee stock replenishments and manage the movement of inventory between branches based on sales trends and demand forecasts.
👉🏽3. Team Supervision and Training
- • Lead, train, and support a team of logistics personnel, including warehouse staff, drivers, and branch coordinators.
- • Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and promote team alignment with organizational goals and values.
- • Ensure all team members are aware of logistics protocols, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
👉🏽4. Vendor and Supplier Relationship Management
- • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation
providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective services. - • Negotiate contracts with service providers to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards for multi-branch logistics.
👉🏽5. Route Optimization and Distribution Efficiency
- • Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods to all branches.
- • Collaborate with logistics partners to resolve delivery issues and mitigate delays,
ensuring timely deliveries across locations. - • Evaluate delivery schedules and optimize logistics costs by consolidating shipments and reducing unnecessary travel.
👉🏽6. Logistics Process Improvement
- • Identify and implement improvements in logistics processes, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and minimizing delays.
- • Leverage data analytics to assess branch performance and forecast demand, enabling proactive decision-making.
- • Collaborate with the logistics manager
👉🏽7. Compliance and Documentation
- • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, transportation laws, and company policies across all branches.
8. Cross-Functional Communication and Support
- • Serve as the primary logistics contact for branch managers and other departments, facilitating clear communication and efficient operations.
- • Address logistics issues at the branch level, proactively identifying and resolving any
disruptions. - • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance teams to align logistics with business
needs and customer expectations.
Requirements:
- 👉🏽Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 👉🏽Experience: 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- 👉🏽Experience in a retail business is preferred.
- 👉🏽Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of logistics software (e.g., SAP, ERPs, Oracle) and strong
Microsoft Excel and Google workspace. - 👉🏽Leadership and Team Management
- 👉🏽Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with local and international shipping and customs
regulations, as well as transportation safety standards.
