Marketing Content Manager

As a Marketing Content Manager at Newsela, you’ll be an expert on the needs, motivations, and challenges of Newsela’s educator audiences, and you’ll use that expertise to create best-in-class content that will drive engagement and conversion. You’ll partner with colleagues in the Marketing Team to develop content marketing plans, and own the strategy and execution of content like blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, and more from concept through production.

You’ll collaborate with your colleagues across the marketing team to identify the right content approach to achieve our messaging and demand generation objectives, and leverage your outstanding writing and/or presenting skills to bring the strategy to life. You love storytelling and finding compelling and clear ways to communicate nuanced or complex topics. You’ll be part of an organization solving real challenges in education, and your work will have a direct and measurable impact on Newsela’s business. You’re a natural communicator, synthesizer, and storyteller who loves to write and present. You have a demonstrated ability to adjust your message for varying audience needs or business objectives. You’re both a creative thinker and process-oriented collaborator who is comfortable brainstorming with colleagues as well as managing project timelines, deadlines, and work back schedules. You’ve been in a content-focused role for at least 2 years, and have experience in K-12 education either as a classroom instructor, administrator or as a marketer serving K-12. Most of all, you’re eager to make an impact in K-12 education.
