Marketing Designer

We’re looking for a Marketing Designer to be responsible for all marketing related design activity. Through this work you will also partner with the broader Marketing and Design teams to contribute to our visual design system and brand development. You will be our first design hire into the Marketing team, able to have an enormous impact on our growth!

The role 💬

• Produce a variety of assets, creatively communicating who we are and what we have to offer. Including campaign assets, sales assets, communication visuals, templates, and website updates (due to this variety, you should be very flexible about the type of work that you do, knowing all of it is important and contributing to brilliant outcomes 🤩)
• Visual storytelling, turning ideas into visually simple and compelling creative
• Convey the essence of our brand and increase integrity across our visual design
• Unify and guide our brand, together with the broader Product Design team. We will be looking to refresh our brand soon and you will play a leading role in this early-exploration
• Develop our brand guidelines to ensure consistency across the business
• Work with the broader Marketing team to develop campaign concepts to engage our audience and drive growth. This will include producing a number of designs and constant testing
• Manage agencies and freelancers as required
• (Nice to have) Motion and animation — especially across content and campaigns
• (Nice to have) E-book design experience

The role will be a great fit if… ✨

• You have operated within an independent role before. You will collaborate with many people across Pento, however you will be our first design hire into the Marketing team and you will play a leading role in shaping your work and contribution
• You’re comfortable with some ambiguity and changing priorities. We’re not as unstructured as you might think (!) but we are a start-up and change what we’re doing fast if it’s not working
• You thrive in understanding, translating and articulating brand visuals
• You’re able to quickly and creatively produce designs and compelling solutions
• You love your craft, being very hands on, and constantly pushing yourself to deliver your best work
• You’re flexible about the kind of work that you do — you enjoy lending your hand to anything
• You’re a strong communicator, able to articulate your ideas and gather input from others
• You’re able to delicately balance quality and speed. Pento’s stage of growth will mean constant compromising, but you take pride in adopting an iterative approach that allows you to move and improve as swiftly as possible
• You’re self motivated. Because we’re remote-first, we will trust you to take initiative, making sure that you’re working on this weeks most important thing and communicating effectively
• You love learning. You might not have experience for everything this role requires, but you’re looking to grow and learn
