Multimedia Specialist
We are looking for a Multimedia Specialist to join our team to produce excellent online learning content (videos, static images) for our training programs.
The Change.org Foundation creates positive impact in some of the world’s most marginalised communities through community-building programs, research, and partnerships for citizen-led campaigning. We anchor our work on the belief that no person should have to feel powerless.
Our programs aim to empower citizens and support grassroots-led social movements in Asia and Africa by combining the digital reach and accessibility of Change.org with targeted support from our team of experienced campaign and movement-building experts.
In our effort to scale our programmes, we will be migrating our training curriculum onto a mobile-first online learning experience to be accessed by users primarily in Africa, who are interested in elevating their knowledge in citizen-led campaigning for social change.
About This Opportunity
The purpose of this opening is to create and develop quality mobile-first, online learning content for our training programs, as well as communication materials to inform project stakeholders about our work.
As part of the Change.org Foundation Training Team, you will work remotely with the regional and country leads (primarily from Africa and Asia), as well as external vendors from our teams in Africa to produce multimedia materials for our programs. Your deliverables include a mix of video and static digital graphics that follow our brand guidelines and meet web content accessibility standards.
Here’s what you’ll do as part of our team:
▪️ Support the team in scriptwriting and copywriting for our online learning content.
▪️ Edit videos, primarily for e-learning, housed in a Learning Management Software
▪️ Design graphics in alignment with our brand standards and program objectives
▪️ Coordinate with colleagues and vendors to facilitate an efficient content creation process
You will be working remotely from your country of residence and will be reporting to a manager in the Asia (GMT+8) timezone. As a global team, we have a culture of learning, openness, and collaboration. We expect you to build strong relationships with other staff, sometimes spending time with them to understand their context.
An ideal proposal will be from an individual who:
▪️ Has 3-5 years experience in creating engaging online content (experience in creating online learning / educational content a big advantage)
▪️ Has proven experience in video production (filming, directing presenters, linear and non-linear editing)
▪️ Has excellent project management, and organization skills
▪️ Is proficient in Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects & Premiere Pro), Figma, and is knowledgeable in mobile-friendly content development
▪️ Has knowledge of WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards related to audio and visual media
▪️ Can present ideas to diverse, multi-cultural teams in a clear and confident manner
▪️ Has strong rapport-building and relationship skills, especially across diverse cultures
▪️ Is interested in online and offline advocacy campaigning and how social movements intersect with technology and online communication platforms
▪️ Has a shared commitment to our goal of empowering people to create the change they want to see
▪️ Is fluent in both verbal and written English

This is a FULL TIMEÂ role with an annual salary of $18,000-20,000 USD. In exceptional circumstances, we may offer below the listed salary for high potential candidates with less experience, or above it for candidates with significantly more experience.
We anticipate moving very quickly and our evaluation process is as follows:
