Jib Title: Product Marketing Manager
Summary
As Product Marketing Manager at IOHK you will have a strategic role that defines the WHO, WHY and HOW of your product(s) within the market, acting as the voice of the market and the customer.
You will manage multiple cross-functional teams at a time and work with a variety of teams to define and execute a winning GTM strategy to serve business needs. Getting the message out will require strong collaboration with the communications team and field marketing to drive tailored content across multiple channels. You will also collaborate and where necessary manage, third party agencies providing creative and strategic feedback on project-specific campaigns. Success in this role will require the ability to work seamlessly with stakeholders across for instance remote-based Product Management, Engineering, Business Development, Research, Technical Services, Communications, and Creative teams.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in IT companies, or have spent time supporting disruptive or emerging technology offerings from early innovators to the mainstream. Experience/ familiarity in Blockchain/Crypto is desired. In this role, you will craft compelling and visionary narratives across highly sophisticated, technically complex products and take them to market in creative ways.
Duties
- GTM Strategy: Develop and drive the market strategy for your product(s), working with cross-functional teams to monitor and achieve financial and market share objectives. This includes market segmentation, persona refinement, use case development, content creation and management, channel program support, and other standard GTM initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Discord, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels and audiences.
- Partner with product management to deliver competitive product requirements that influence and shape the product roadmap.
- Drive launch deliverables and manage key stakeholders to drive excitement and adoption of all new product releases.
- Being able to break down complex topics into clear and concise user-centric messaging for both internal and external use.
- Be a subject matter expert on your product(s). You can reframe marketing messaging to a one-to-one sales conversation that supports positioning and objection handling through live presentations, online learning tools, playbooks, sales decks, tools to support the global sales teams and channels.
- Support Global Demand Gen and Corporate Communications: Collaborate on a winning marketing plan and support marketing campaign efforts (e.g., channel marketing, events, webinars, social, blogs, etc.). Be the primary contact and advocate for the product with analysts and press.
Requirements
Key Competencies
- Extensive experience in B2B Product Marketing and experience in the data center networking space with a strong understanding of the challenges of infrastructure and operations personas
- Demonstrated history of creating competitive GTM strategies with proven results within the infrastructure and operations management space or adjacent market/technology
- Ability to understand complex topics and break them down into clear and concise user-centric messaging for both internal and external use.
- Experience acting as key subject matter expert with top tier analysts, press, customers, partners, and internal sales teams
- Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills with high comfort level speaking on webinars, conferences, internal meetings and industry events
- Self-motivated, inquisitive about the market and emerging trends and an ability to carefully listen to and act on customer feedback and key market indicators
- Ability to influence and manage within a cross-functional organization
- Ability to build relationships internally; across remote teams.
Education / ExperienceÂ
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration
- Product Marketing experience and a deep understanding of technical concepts.
- 3+ years experience marketing hi-tech / emerging / disruptive technology solutions in B2B and B2C environments. Start-up experience is a plus.
- Experience in a rapidly growing organization.
- Experience in taking technology from the early adopter stage to the mainstream.
- Process-oriented – experience in identifying and establishing collaborative work processes.
- Excellent communications skills – written & verbal with experience in engaging with customers and stakeholders at all levels
Benefits
IOG is a fully distributed organization but due to team distribution, we require someone to be based in the United States, preferably on the East Coast or Central.
The base salary for this position has a range of $90 up to $120k per year at the commencement of employment. Any offer is determined by overall experience and performance during the interview process. This is only part of the total compensation package.
