Position: Program Associate
Note: This is a hybrid role.
Job Overview:
The Program Associate at Obodo will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects and programs. The ideal candidate should have experience in monitoring and evaluation processes, and an understanding of The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) standard for reporting and assessment would be a valuable advantage. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):
âž” Design and implement M&E frameworks for various projects to assess their impact and effectiveness.
âž” Develop and maintain data collection tools, ensuring they align with project objectives and indicators.
âž” Conduct regular data collection, analysis, and reporting to track project progress.
âž” Collaborate with project teams to identify areas for improvement and recommend adjustments based on M&E findings.
2. Program Support:
âž” Assist the Program Manager in the development and execution of project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
âž” Coordinate with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth project implementation.
âž” Provide administrative support for program-related activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
âž” Maintain comprehensive records of program activities, outcomes, and expenditures.
âž” Prepare clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.
âž” Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with IATI standards.
4. Capacity Building:
âž” Contribute to the capacity building of team members on M&E methodologies and IATI compliance.
âž” Provide guidance on data collection techniques, analysis, and reporting best practices.
5. IATI Compliance:
âž” Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) standards.
âž” Ensure Obodo’s compliance with IATI reporting requirements.
âž” Work closely with relevant teams to streamline data collection and reporting processes according to IATI standards.
Qualifications:
âž” Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Development Studies, International Relations, etc.)
âž” Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the context of nonprofit or development projects.
âž” Familiarity with The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) standard is highly desirable.
âž” Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
âž” Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
âž” Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
âž” Passion for human rights and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
