Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
The Digital Solutions team develop digital propositions, solutions and products that sit at the heart of Capita. As a Senior Digital Solutions Consultant / Proposition Manager, reporting to the Head of Digital Solutions, you will shape new innovative client propositions to take to market. You will be responsible for developing and executing digital strategies and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of digital propositions, leading all discovery and development activities. Your role will involve market analysis, customer insights, product development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences that align with business objectives.
You will work with our Growth teams to coordinate market and user research activities and define the proposition’s competitive advantage. You will also work with technology delivery teams, operations and third party partners and suppliers to develop a service delivery model and define the business and technical capabilities underpinning the proposition. Finally, you will work with finance to develop business cases and define commercial models that ensure commercial viability of the proposition.
You will be responsible for defining the proposition’s vision and long-term roadmap as well as overseeing the development of any required proofs of concept. You will engage with director-level stakeholders and provide regular updates to the Project’s Steering Group.
Responsibilities:-
- Develops and implements a comprehensive digital proposition strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Identifies market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to drive innovation and differentiation
- Identifies how new propositions / solutions may create new opportunities and how to adapt existing products to create new opportunities
- Analyses and validates proposition / solution ideas (taking account of desirability, viability and feasibility) originating from various parts of the business and recommends next steps Drives and innovate business solutions and identifies opportunities to deliver business outcomes
- Leads the end-to-end proposition development process, including ideation, concept development, requirements gathering, and prototype creation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as UX/UI designers, developers, and marketers, to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, operations, and technology teams, to align digital propositions with overall business strategies.
- Engage in effective communication to ensure a shared vision, gather feedback, and manage expectations throughout the product lifecycle
- Owns the supplier relationship on managing work packages and artefact delivery to an agreed standard
- Owns the vision and long-term roadmaps, prioritising requirements and deliverables Develops business cases
- Creates financial and commercial models
What we’re looking for:
We’re interested in speaking to people who have experience and skills on the following:
- Product / proposition management experience: You have a product management background with experience across the product management lifecycle. You have led the development of high profile client propositions which combine business and technical capabilities delivered by cross-functional teams and external partners. You understand the different phases of proposition development and delivery and can contribute to, plan or run these. You have strong experience of the discovery phase where you formulated and tested concepts to deliver future value to the company and its clients. You are comfortable working in high profile projects and are able to manage complex solutions with high transaction levels.
- Consultancy experience: Ideally, you have previously worked in a Digital / Technology Consultancy type of organisation and have strong client facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Supplier management experience: You have a demonstrable experience of delivering digital propositions or solutions in partnership with external suppliers. You have been responsible for managing the relationships and engagement with third parties.
- Stakeholder management: You have extensive experience managing stakeholder relationships and expectations both internally and externally. You have given presentations and provided updates on progress to mid to senior level stakeholders and effectively managed expectations.
- Public sector experience: You delivered projects, products or solutions for Government clients.
- Communication skills: You know how to communicate effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context. You know how to successfully react and respond to challenge. You are able to create the bigger picture and communicate product vision to internal and external audience.
- Agile and Lean methodologies: You know about and have worked with a range of Agile and Lean tools and techniques.
- Workshop facilitation: You have previous experience of designing and facilitating workshops for variety of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Independence. You are a self-starter who can work independently with little or no supervision. You are a creative problem solver who is not afraid to propose and advocate for out of the box solutions to client’s problems.
- Big picture thinking & problem exploration: You have a curious, analytical mind, work well when faced with ambiguity and complexity, and can confidently carry out research to identify, articulate and validate business problems.
Desirable:
- Innovation – You have previously run product or solution discovery using innovation cycle and techniques.
- Organisational change – You have experience contributing to organisational change and digital transformation programmes.
- IoT / Data / AI products – you have experience shaping and developing propositions involving IoT, data or AI capabilities.
