Role Overview:
Butter Payments seeking a strong SEO expert and that’s also a certified Google Ads Specialist, and ideally, some web development skills. Your ability to manage and optimize paid search campaigns, drive organic traffic through SEO, and contribute to website development will be crucial in working in this startup environment.
What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities of the role will involve leading comprehensive SEO strategies, including conducting audits to identify areas for improving organic search rankings and driving traffic. You will optimize on-page elements like meta tags, headers, and content to enhance search engine visibility, while also developing and implementing link-building strategies to improve domain authority. Regular monitoring of SEO performance and sharing analysis with stakeholders is key, as well as collaborating with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are consistently integrated into all digital content.
You will also be responsible for managing Google Ads campaigns, you will develop, implement, and optimize campaigns across search and display networks. Responsibilities include keyword research, ad copy creation, bid management, and A/B testing to ensure campaigns perform at their best. You will also monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights, staying up-to-date on the latest Google Ads trends and features. Detailed reporting on ROI, ROAS, and customer lifetime value will be a critical part of stakeholder communication.
Additionally, you will support web development by contributing to website design and technical SEO improvements, ensuring sites are optimized for both user experience and SEO compliance. This includes improving site speed, mobile responsiveness, and URL structures, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining websites using Webflow. Cross-channel integration is also vital, working with other team members to ensure alignment between paid ads, SEO strategies, and the company’s broader go-to-market initiatives.
Your Skills:

- Google Ads Certification with 3+ years of experience managing successful paid search campaigns.
- Proven expertise in SEO, including both on-page and off-page strategies, with a strong track record of driving organic growth.
- Web development skills (preferred) with experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and platforms like Webflow.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about digital marketing.
- Proven ability to start from the grounds up by bringing in the necessary tools and processes Experience with WebFlow
$53 – $90 an hour
