Job Summary :
The Unity Innovation Center is seeking a dedicated and creative Volunteer Social Media Manager to join our team. As a non-profit education and research institute, we aim to promote innovation, collaboration, and positive change in our community. The Volunteer Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our online presence, increasing engagement, and raising awareness about our programs and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about social media, education, and making a difference.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to promote the Unity Innovation Center’s mission, programs, and events.
2. Manage and maintain the organization’s social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
3. Create engaging and compelling content for social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and infographics, to increase reach and engagement.
4. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
5. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.
6. Stay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to continuously improve the organization’s online presence.
7. Track and analyze social media metrics, prepare regular reports, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
8. Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to gather content and stories for social media posts.
9. Assist in the planning and execution of virtual events, webinars, and online campaigns.
10. Adhere to the organization’s brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging across all social media platforms.

Qualifications:
1. Passion for the mission and values of the Unity Innovation Center and a strong interest in non-profit work, education, and research.
2. Proven experience in managing social media platforms for organizations or brands, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
4. Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to schedule posts, track metrics, and gain insights.
5. Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually appealing social media content.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
7. Knowledge of current social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with volunteers and staff members.
9. Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities and requirements.
10. Basic knowledge of SEO principles and strategies is a plus.
