The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) supports experienced professionals from developing countries who seek a master’s degree in development-related fields. Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be citizens of a World Bank member developing country

Not hold dual citizenship with any developed country

Be in good health

Hold a bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years before the deadline

Be employed in a paid, full-time, development-related position at the time of applying

Have at least three years of relevant, paid, development-related work experience (within the last six years; part-time roles may count as per FAQ)

Note: Mundus MAPP is not eligible for this scholarship

Application Process
Step 1: Confirm that you meet all eligibility criteria
Step 2: Apply for academic admission to ISS MA in Development Studies by 1 March 2026
Step 3: Wait for ISS Admissions Office to contact shortlisted candidates

Step 4: Submit your JJ/WBGSP online scholarship application -
All documents must be uploaded online (no email/post submissions)
