Ministry Of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship Program 2025 Overview

The Taiwan Scholarship, offered by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE), aims to support outstanding Nigerian students in pursuing degree programs in Taiwan. The program promotes academic ties between Nigeria and Taiwan while fostering global professionals.

Ministry Of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship Program 2025 Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens with excellent academic records.

• Not hold Taiwan (R.O.C.) nationality or be an R.O.C. Overseas Compatriot student.

• Not have enrolled in Taiwan for the same degree level before.

• Not be exchange students under Taiwan-international institution agreements.

• Not have received a Taiwan Scholarship for more than five years in total.

• Not have been disqualified from a Taiwan Scholarship in the past.

• Not be receiving any other Taiwan government or educational institution scholarship.

Ministry Of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship Program 2025 Benefits

• Tuition & Miscellaneous Fees: Up to NTD 40,000 (≈ $1,250) per semester. Any excess must be covered by the student.

• Living Stipend:

  • Undergraduate: NTD 15,000/month (≈ $468)

  • Master’s & PhD: NTD 20,000/month (≈ $625)

Ministry Of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship Program 2025 Scholarship Duration

• Undergraduate: Max 4 years

• Master’s: Max 2 years

• Doctoral: Max 4 years

• The total award period cannot exceed 5 years.

Ministry Of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship Program 2025 Application Requirements

1. Completed Taiwan Scholarship Application Form

2. Copy of Nigerian passport

3. Certified diploma & transcript (English or Chinese; translations must be authenticated)

4. Proof of admission to a participating Taiwanese university

5. Language proficiency proof:

   • TOCFL (Level 3+ required) for non-English programs

   • TOEFL or equivalent for English programs

6. Two reference letters (signed & sealed)

7. Completed Taiwan Scholarship Terms of Agreement

8. Online application submission at Taiwan Scholarship Website

Application Process

• Deadline: May 15, 2025 (postmarked)

• Selection: Based on document review and, if needed, an interview.

• Results Announcement: By May 30, 2025.

• Proof of Admission Submission: By June 30, 2025.

• Scholarship Start: September 1, 2025.

Participating Universities

Applicants must apply separately to their chosen Taiwanese universities within their respective deadlines.
