The National Higher Education Scholarship is a prestigious merit-based scholarship offered by the Hungarian Government to outstanding undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program students enrolled at Hungarian universities, including the University of Szeged. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence, professional achievements, and contributions to public, cultural, or sports activities. It is awarded for a full academic year (10 months), with a monthly stipend of HUF 40,000.

To be eligible, applicants must:
✔ Be enrolled in a state-funded or fee-paying full-time undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program
✔ Have completed at least two semesters of higher education studies
✔ Have earned at least 55 credits
✔ Plan to continue their studies during the 2025/2026 academic year

• Outstanding academic performance (at least 90% of maximum achievement at their faculty)
