Peering Fellowship 2025 Overview
The Peering Fellowship 2025, organized by the Internet Society, is a six-month professional development program for individuals committed to enhancing Internet access by improving local interconnection infrastructure and advocating for supportive Internet policies. The fellowship empowers 15 professionals from Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions to deepen their expertise in peering, interconnection, and Internet policy through virtual training and in-person participation at regional peering events.
Peering Fellowship 2025 Eligibility
Applicants must:

Reside in the Africa, LAC, or APAC regions

Have a valid passport (see region-specific expiry requirements):

LAC: Valid until April 2026

Africa: Valid until February 2026

APAC: Valid until June 2026

Have at least 3 years of experience in the Internet industry

Be engaged in Internet policy, business, or technical development related to peering or transit

Be available to attend one peering event:

AfPIF (Nigeria) – 19–21 August 2025

LACNIC/LACNOG (TBC) – 6–10 October 2025

Peering Asia (Philippines) – 4–6 November 2025

Commit to ~4 hours per week for the full 6-month period

Be fluent in spoken and written English

Have reliable Internet access and suitable digital devices
Applicants from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States are especially encouraged to apply.
