Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme 2025
The Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme provides financial and academic support to Qatari nationals and children of Qatari mothers who are recent high school graduates. The scholarship funds undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s degrees) inside or outside Qatar, followed by guaranteed employment at Qatar Airways under the Graduate Development Programme (GDP).

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Be Qatari nationals or children of Qatari mothers (with all study stages completed in Qatar).

Be 17–24 years old at the time of application.

Have graduated from high school within the last 3 years.

Meet minimum scores:
-
Qatari Nationals: 85% in high school, IELTS 5.5 (no band <5.0).

Qatari-Mother Students: 90% in high school, IELTS 6.0 (no band <5.0).

Be of good conduct, medically fit, and not employed or sponsored elsewhere.

Obtain admission into an approved university (Qatar, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or other approved countries).

Choose a major approved by Qatar Airways.

Male applicants must provide proof of completion/deferral of National Service.

Have a Qatari guarantor who agrees to repay costs if terms are not met.
Scholarship Benefits

Full coverage of tuition, fees, housing, and living expenses.

Support for up to 4 years of undergraduate study.

Placement in Qatar Airways’ Graduate Development Programme after graduation.

Guaranteed employment for at least 5 years with Qatar Airways.
Required Documents

For All Applicants:

Passport, Qatar ID, and passport-size photo.

High School Certificate (or Equivalency Certificate).

IELTS Certificate (valid, <24 months old).

Final unconditional university acceptance letter.

Pre-approval from the Qatar Ministry of Education (for overseas study).

Letters of non-employment & non-scholarship (from MoL and MoE).

For male Qataris: proof of National Service status.

Guarantor’s passport, Qatar ID, and financial documents.
For Qatari-Mother Students (extra):

Mother’s Qatar ID.

Student’s Qatar-issued birth certificate.

Proof all education stages were completed in Qatar.
Selection Process

Initial Shortlisting – Documents reviewed, shortlisted candidates invited for interviews/tests.

Final Selection – Candidates must provide:

Police Clearance Certificate (CID).
-
Medical clearance.
-
Guarantor’s updated financial proof.
-
Student’s local bank IBAN.
-
Signed Scholarship Contract (with guarantor).

Obligations After Graduation
-
Join Qatar Airways immediately after graduation.
-
Serve a minimum 5 years (job role and location decided by Qatar Airways).
-
Work may involve shift duties.
-
Postgraduate studies are not allowed immediately after a Bachelor’s degree – graduates must first complete work obligations.
