Overview
The Rotary Foundation, in partnership with IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (Netherlands), offers annual fully funded scholarships to support the training of skilled water and sanitation professionals from developing and emerging countries.
Since 2012, almost 200 scholarships have been awarded, reinforcing global capacity to address water scarcity, sanitation challenges, and climate-related water risks.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:

Be academically admitted into the IHE Delft MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development.

Be residents of a Rotary Club’s local community (as Rotarians select their local candidates).

Demonstrate commitment to solving water and sanitation issues in developing/emerging countries.

Ongoing engagement with sponsoring Rotary Clubs

Application Requirements

Proof of academic admission into the relevant IHE Delft MSc programme

Completion of the Rotary Scholarship Application Form

Participation in an interview with your local Rotary Club

Submission of documents jointly by both the candidate and the sponsoring Rotary Club

Application Process

Apply and obtain academic admission into the MSc Water and Sustainable Development programme at IHE Delft.

Contact your local Rotary Club to express interest.

Rotarians will interview, evaluate, and select suitable candidates.

The Rotary Club and the candidate jointly submit the completed scholarship application to the Rotary/IHE Delft selection committee.

Successful candidates receive funding via Rotary’s Global Grant process.

Sponsoring Rotary Clubs maintain contact and provide support throughout the scholar’s studies.
