SDU Danish Government Scholarship 2026: Full Tuition Waiver for Engineering, AI & Computer Science (Denmark) 

Overview

The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) offers a limited number of Danish Government Scholarships to highly qualified non-EU/EEA students. The scholarship provides a full or partial tuition fee waiver for selected Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes taught at SDU’s Vejle and Sønderborg campuses.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be a non-EU/EEA citizen

• Not be eligible for the Danish State Grant (SU)

• Apply to one of the eligible programmes at the specified campuses

• Meet SDU’s academic and language requirements

• Apply by the stated deadlines (Bachelor’s or Master’s)

Eligible Programmes

Master’s (Sønderborg):

• MSc Engineering – Electronics / Electrical Engineering

• MSc Engineering – Mechanical Engineering

• MSc Engineering – Mechatronics

Bachelor’s (Vejle):

• BSc Artificial Intelligence

• BSc Computer Science

• BSc Interactive Technology Engineering

• BSc Software Engineering

Benefits

• Full tuition fee waiver

  • 2 years (MSc programmes)

  • 3 years (BSc programmes)

• Covers 30 ECTS per semester

• Scholarship continuation requires passing at least 20 ECTS per semester

• Tuition waiver only (no living allowance)

Application Requirements

No separate scholarship application is required.
You are automatically considered when you apply for admission.

Bachelor’s applicants must:

• Apply by 15 March

• Sit for the uniTEST

• Attend an online interview if shortlisted

Master’s applicants must:

• Apply by 1 February

• Submit a complete application with all documents at the time of submission

• Prioritise the SDU Master’s programme as first choice

• Upload all required documents online (email submissions not accepted)

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s:

  • uniTEST score

  • Online interview (math questions + motivation)

• Master’s:

  • Bachelor’s GPA

  • Online technical interview

• Priority may be given to applicants from:
  USA, UK, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, India, Brazil, Malaysia, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Ukraine, and Moldova

Application Process

1. Apply for admission to an eligible SDU programme

2. Upload all required documents before the deadline

3. Shortlisted candidates receive an interview invitation

4. Scholarship decisions are made after interviews

Important Dates

• Bachelor’s Application Deadline: 15 March

• Bachelor’s Interviews: Early June

• Master’s Application Deadline: 1 February

• Master’s Interviews: 19–27 February

• Interview invitations are sent on short notice
