Sophie Germain Scholarship 2026 (Paris-Saclay & IP Paris) – Fully Funded Master’s in Mathematics

Overview

The Sophie Germain Scholarship supports outstanding students pursuing a Master’s in Mathematics and Applications (M1 or M2) at Université Paris-Saclay or the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris).
Each academic year includes two application rounds designed to support both international mobility and internal academic progression.

This prestigious scholarship emphasises academic excellence, research potential, and gender balance, in line with the FMJH’s equality action plan.

Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

• Intend to enrol in the Master’s in Mathematics and Applications (M1 or M2) in one of the research tracks listed by the program

• Apply during the correct application round:

  • Round 1 (Oct–Jan): For students outside the Paris-Saclay perimeter (international and other external candidates)

  • Round 2 (Feb–Jun): For current students already studying within the Paris-Saclay perimeter (“interns”)

• Provide strong academic records and recommendation letters

• International students from non-EU countries must apply early (Round 1) to enable visa processing and obtain a Campus France file number

Application Process

   • Second Call: February – early June (internal Paris-Saclay/IP Paris students)

3. Complete the online form (link provided during the call period).

4. Referees will automatically receive requests to upload their recommendation letters.

5. Submit your parallel application for admission to:

   • Université Paris-Saclay or

   • Institut Polytechnique de Paris

6. Wait for results — decisions are sent about 5 weeks after the call closes.

7. If selected, proceed with visa and administrative enrolment.
