Application Deadlines

• Undergraduate: 15 June 2025

• Postgraduate: 31 August 2025

The Dalai Lama Trust is offering fully funded scholarships for deserving Tibetan students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies. The scholarship supports financially challenged students and promotes higher education among the Tibetan community.

Scholarship Categories

Undergraduate Scholarships

• Number Available: 100 scholarships

• Program Duration: Minimum 3-year Undergraduate or Diploma programs

Postgraduate Scholarships

• Number Available: 5 scholarships

• Eligibility: Only for students who previously received the Dalai Lama Trust Undergraduate Scholarship

The Dalai Lama Trust Annual Scholarship 2025 for Tibetan Students: Eligibility Criteria

For Undergraduate Scholarships (any one of the following):

A. Students with consistently good academic performance but low Class 12 scores (requires Form ‘B’ from school)
B. Students of good moral character and conduct (requires Form ‘B’ from school)
C. Students who are orphaned, semi-orphaned, or from destitute families (requires Form ‘A’ from Tibetan Settlement Office)

For Postgraduate Scholarships:

• Must have been a recipient of the Dalai Lama Trust Undergraduate Scholarship

Additional Eligibility Requirements (Both Categories):

• Applicant and parents must have valid Green Book (GB) contributions paid till March 31, 2024

• Valid Registration Certificate (RC) required

• Not eligible if already receiving another scholarship

• Open to Degree courses only (Vocational and certificate courses excluded)

Undergraduate Applicants:

• Green Book (GB) front and back

• Registration Certificate (RC)

• Class X and XII Mark sheets

• Best Boy/Girl Certificate (if applicable)

• Passport photo

• Duly signed Form-A and/or Form-B

Postgraduate Applicants:

• Green Book (GB) front and back

• Registration Certificate (RC)

• Complete Undergraduate mark sheets

• Provisional or Degree Certificate

• Internship Certificate (if applicable)

• Passport photo

Important Notes

• Applications without relevant mark sheets will not be considered

• Gap years must be explained in the application form

• Scholarship funds will be transferred directly to the recipient’s SBI bank account

• Based on financial need, academic performance, and supporting recommendations

• Preference given to deserving Tibetan students requiring financial support
