The Presidential Scholarship – Eastern Michigan University (Fall 2026): Overview
The Presidential Scholarship is Eastern Michigan University’s most prestigious award for incoming first-year students. It covers full tuition, room, and board for four years, offering outstanding students the chance to join The Honors College, where they engage in critical thinking, community service, and leadership development alongside their degree program.

Value: Full tuition + room & board for 4 years (~$100,000 total)
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be:

A high school senior/incoming freshman for Fall 2026

Have at least one of the following:

3.85+ GPA (no SAT/ACT required)

3.5–3.84 GPA + 25 ACT or 1200 SAT (Critical Reading + Math)

Applied and been admitted to EMU, with official transcripts and test scores submitted by the deadline

Able to visit EMU during 2025 (last visit date: December 12, 2025)
Application Process

Apply to EMU and gain access to the student portal

Submit official transcripts & test scores by December 15, 2025

Complete the Presidential Scholarship Application through the student portal

Attend an EMU campus visit in 2025

Selected candidates will be notified by January 16, 2026

Shortlisted applicants attend in-person interviews on February 7, 2026
