UBC Affiliated Fellowships Master’s Program 2025: Overview
The Affiliated Fellowships Master’s Program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) offers merit-based funding to current and incoming full-time Master’s students pursuing research-based graduate programs. Open to domestic and international students, the fellowship awards range from $175 to $16,000 for the 2025–2026 academic session.

UBC Affiliated Fellowships Master’s Program 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Must be enrolled in or applying to a full-time research-based Master’s program at UBC (Vancouver campus) for September 2025

Must have completed between 0–12 months of full-time graduate-level studies by December 31, 2024

First-class academic standing in the last two years of study (80%+ or equivalent)

Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and international students

Canadian students must also apply for the Canada Graduate Scholarships–Master’s (CGS M) if eligible
Ineligible Programs: MBA, MM, MDS, MPPGA, MOT, MPH, MPT, MKIN, Doctor of Pharmacy

If you already have significant funding ($16,000+), your chances may be lower—except for niche awards

Master’s funding won’t exceed 24 months in total
