Overview

The School of Computer Science at University College Dublin (UCD) is offering a fully funded PhD scholarship for outstanding candidates interested in advanced research in computing and related fields. The programme is designed to develop strong research, teaching, and industry-relevant skills under expert academic supervision.

The PhD programme commences in September 2026.

• Duration: 4 years (full-time)

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of a 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in:

  • Computer Science

  • Mathematics

  • Engineering

  • Science or a related technical discipline

• Programming ability

• English language requirement for non-native speakers OR

  • Proof that previous studies were conducted in English within the last two years

• Must meet any additional criteria specified in individual project descriptions
