Eligibility Criteria

You must:

  • Be a citizen/permanent resident of an eligible Commonwealth country

  • Have a minimum 2:1 degree (or lower + strong experience in some cases)

  • Be unable to afford the programme without the scholarship

  • Provide at least one reference

  • Secure an unconditional offer from Edinburgh before study begins

How to Apply

You must apply to TWO places:

  •  Apply for an eligible online master’s via Edinburgh’s Degree Finder
  • Apply through the CSC online scholarship portal

Apply early — nomination priority is given to applicants with unconditional offers.

Selection Process

  1. CSC checks eligibility

  2. University of Edinburgh nominates candidates

  3. CSC makes the final selection (July 2026)

Important Notes

  • Programme admission and scholarship applications are separate

  • Admission can take up to 28 working days

  • English requirements must be met for an unconditional offer
