University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships 2025 Overview

The Melbourne Research Scholarship and Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship provides full tuition coverage and financial support for high-achieving domestic and international students pursuing graduate research degrees at the University of Melbourne.

University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships 2025 Eligibility

• Open to domestic and international students.

• Must have applied for or be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.

• Selection is based on academic merit and research potential.

University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships 2025 Benefits

• Full tuition fee waiver (up to 2 years for a Master’s by Research, up to 4 years for a PhD).

• Annual living allowance of $38,500 (indexed annually).

• Relocation grant:

  • $2,000 for students moving from within Australia (outside Victoria).

  • $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia.

• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership (for international students).

Application Process

• No separate application required – students are automatically considered upon applying for a graduate research degree.

• If deferring commencement or currently enrolled, submit an online scholarship application by 31 October.

• Scholarship notifications are sent within 10 business days of submitting the course application.
