University of Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award 2025/26 Overview
The Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award is a tuition fee scholarship offered by the University of Nottingham to support academically excellent African students pursuing a full-time master’s degree (including MRes) in any subject area for the 2025/26 academic year. The scholarship provides between £4,000 to £8,000 towards tuition fees for high-achieving international students from Africa.

To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be domiciled in Africa.
- Be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.
- Hold an offer to start a full-time master’s (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham UK for the 2025/26 academic year.
- Be self-funded (not sponsored by an external funding body).

- A tuition fee reduction of £4,000 to £8,000.

University of Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award 2025/26 Application Requirements
- Applicants must first apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time master’s at the University of Nottingham.
- If applying for a taught master’s, students should submit their scholarship application through NottinghamHub.
- If applying for an MRes course, students must email the scholarships team at scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for instructions.
- Applicants will be assessed based on their achievements, study plans, motivations, and predicted grades (if applicable).
- A strict word count applies to application responses.

University of Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award 2025/26 Application Process
- Apply for a full-time master’s (or MRes) at the University of Nottingham.
- Receive an offer of admission.
- Apply for the scholarship via NottinghamHub (for taught master’s) or by emailing the scholarships team (for MRes).
- Await the outcome of the application, which will be communicated by June 2025.
University of Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award 2025/26 Additional Information
- Students do not need to accept their admission offer before applying for the scholarship.
- The scholarship amount is deducted from tuition fees (not paid directly to students).
- This scholarship cannot be combined with other University of Nottingham scholarships.
- Sponsored students (funded by government, employer, business, trust, or charity) are not eligible.
