University of Rwanda Postgraduate Scholarships 2025 Overview
The University of Rwanda is now accepting applications for its Postgraduate Academic Programmes under the East African Community Regional Centre of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunization and Health Supply Chain Management (EAC RCE-VIHSCM) for the September 2025 intake. This opportunity is available for both scholarship-seeking and self-sponsored candidates globally.
University of Rwanda Postgraduate Scholarships 2025 Eligibility
Applicants must:

Meet the minimum entry requirements specific to each programme (available on the UR website).

Submit all required documents (see below).

Be public servants from eligible EAC countries (for scholarship consideration).
-
Be 45 years or younger (for scholarship eligibility).
-
Not have previously received an RCE scholarship for a master’s programme.
Eligible Countries for Scholarship
Burundi, DR Congo, Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), and Uganda.
University of Rwanda Postgraduate Scholarships 2025 Benefits
Selected candidates under the scholarship scheme will receive:

Tuition: €6,000 for the full duration of the course.

Round-trip economy air tickets to Kigali for face-to-face sessions.

Living allowance: €60/day or equivalent in RWF (covers accommodation, meals, and local transport).

MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance (MPAQA) – 28 scholarships

MSc in Vaccinology (MVAX) – 28 scholarships

MSc in Medical Products Regulatory Affairs (MPRA) – 28 scholarships
University of Rwanda Postgraduate Scholarships 2025: Application Requirements
All applicants must submit the following in PDF format:

Letter addressed to the Director of UR Postgraduate Center (include programme of choice and full contact details)

Updated CV
-
Certified academic transcripts and degree certificates
-
Two reference letters from senior academic referees
-
Recommendation letter from employer
-
Copy of national ID or passport
Selection Criteria
-
Selection is based on the evaluation of submitted documents.
-
Priority will be given based on government ranking, gender balance, age, disability, geographical equity, and health workforce needs.
Restrictions
-
Previous RCE scholarship recipients are not eligible for another master’s scholarship under this scheme.

Incomplete applications or non-compliance with requirements will not be processed.
