The University of Siena is offering Siena International Excellence Scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year to attract exceptional international students to its English-taught Master’s degree programs. Each scholarship is valued at €6,000 per year (gross) and renewable for a second year, totaling €12,000 for the duration of the program.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Hold non-Italian citizenship (dual citizens with Italian nationality are ineligible).

• Possess a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree that qualifies them for Master’s study in Italy.

• Must not be a resident of Italy, defined as:

  • Non-EU citizens with an Italian residence permit that exempts them from needing a student visa.

  • EU or equivalent citizens who have lived in Italy for over 9 months continuously.

• Must have applied to one or two eligible English-taught Master’s degree programs at the University of Siena via apply.unisi.it.

University of Siena International Excellence Scholarships 2025/2026: Study in Italy with €12,000 Funding Application Requirements

To apply, candidates must:

• First apply to one or more eligible Master’s programs via apply.unisi.it

• Submit a separate scholarship application on the same portal under the “Scholarship” section
• Pay a non-refundable fee of €10
• Use the same account for both course and scholarship applications
• Provide a 1-minute self-recorded video explaining their motivation

• Specify the name(s) of the Master’s program(s) they applied for
