Backend Developer

Throughout last year, Scorp Inc. has made a big leap and reached over 100 million users with over 10 mobile products! We continue to grow and develop new social apps. As our user base grows, there comes the challenge of scaling. With this challenge, we’ve recently started the search for amazing people to extend our team. Our team currently manages several backend services that span over many machines and serverless systems. Responsibilities:

• Developing new products, implementing new features, and improving our existing codebase
• Improve our backend systems to scale as our requests and data volumes grow larger and larger
• Designing an infrastructure that is optimal for solving production issues
• Working across technologies like Python, Node.js, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, many AWS services, and more

Requirements:

• A reputable college degree in Computer Engineering, CS or Mathematics
• Experience in Backend Engineering
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
• Motivated to create stable and scalable projects with a team
• Experience in backend services and distributed systems
• Experience in SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory database systems
• Experience in message queues is a plus
• Experience on a search and analytics engine is a plus
• Familiarity with Python and Node.js is a plus
