Insurance Manager

We׳re looking for talented insurance professional to join a growing and dynamic team focused on developing Casava’s innovative insurance products. In this role, you’ll take the concept to delivery, crafting an experience that makes insurance affordable, simple, and enjoyable.

You’ll collaborate with our actuarial, underwriting, and risk experts to lead the development of coverage, pricing levels, and eligibility requirements. You’ll also oversee our Insurance Operations team to facilitate regulatory approval and work closely with the Product team to implement these features—with Casava’s brand values always at the forefront. Once up and running, you’ll also ensure we profitably grow our insurance product.

The Insurance Manager will report directly to our VP, Insurance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of general or life insurance underwriting or actuarial experience.
• 3 + years’ experience working in sales and underwriting of insurance products
• 5+ years working as an insurance manager/team lead/ associate
• BSc, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance or relevant field degree
• All-around team player who is self-motivated and inventive
• Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
• Thorough understanding of setting up insurance products and premiums
• A clear understanding of insurance policies and products, including nuances of an insurtech firm and the market in which it operates.
• Extensive experience in handling large projects and thorough understanding of the laws guiding this industry
• Adept at communicating complex concepts in a simple way
• General understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
• Analytical, with a knack for identifying trends, communicating results, and taking action
• Comfortable with, and adaptable to, new technologies
• Track record of prior success, with increasing positions of responsibility
• Willingness and ability to work with individuals in different time zones
• Comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
