Mobilize liabilities and grow assets under management for the firm across various investor segments.
Acquire and maintain high-value business and maintain relationships with institutional and retail investor market segments, through the provision of superior and excellent service delivery, investment advice, and the adoption of innovative and creative approaches to business.
Build, manage, and maintain a robust database of current and potential high-value clients across focus market segments in order to provide a continuous stream of high-quality, pipeline transactions for improved productivity and business growth.
Support the revenue generation drive across key product lines and adopt upselling and cross-selling initiatives to improve value-add to clients.
Coordinate with other departments and maintain efficiency on all sales procedures and activities.
Develop strategies for selling financial products across the firm’s product suite.
Support the implementation of strategic initiatives that sustain and improve the firm’s competitive advantage within its operating environment.
Responsibilities
Business Development: Develop and cultivate business prospects across the entire spectrum of the company’s target segments, by undertaking the initiation and development of business proposals and facilitating sales pitches for existing and prospective customers.
Strategic Account Acquisition: Aggressive identification, prioritization, and management of corporate relationships with strategic partners to provide business development results for the business.
Sales Reporting: Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports showing sales trends, performance, projections, liquidations, and terminations, in order to identify business opportunities, and mitigate events that can affect the business adversely.
Monitoring Market and Economic Trends: Continuously monitor developments in the domestic and international macroeconomic environment in general and in the financial markets in particular, with a view to taking advantage of the emerging opportunities, and minimizing potential threats to our business, e.g., changes in clients’ needs and values, competitor activities, regulatory changes, tax laws etc.
Investment Advisory: Applying advanced knowledge of financial products, services, and strategies to provide, or support the provision of comprehensive advisory services on the firm’s products.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience in the financial service industry.
Relevant experience in Investment/Wealth Management or Financial Services.
Strong business acumen and ability to recognize and interpret commercial opportunities before they occur.
Demonstrated ability to create sales/relationship opportunities with clients, prospects, and consultants within the various segments of the market.
Excellent presentation skills and in-depth knowledge of financial and investment products.
Familiarity and existing relationships with local and offshore institutional mandates is a plus.
Ability to quickly comprehend and filter complex information. This is often required within a short timeframe, as clients will generally look to you for input on a wide range of topics, some of which will be time-sensitive and may be confidential.
