Job Title: Program Manager
American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Program Manager to join our Practitioner Contract Administration department. This position is to support varied special and routine projects of the Practitioner Contract Administration Department and the specific projects identified by Executive Management on an ongoing basis.
Salary Range
American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $45,000 to $65,000 Full-Time Annual Salary Range
Remote Worker Considerations
Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed).
Responsibilities
- Manages assigned projects and supports activities of Practitioner Contract Administration and Practitioner Contract Services teams, ensuring prompt completion of specific deliverables.
- Performs independent project management tasks as assigned and identified.
- Identifies projects proactively for completion to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Performs ad hoc project management in support of any department project assigned.
- Coordinates projects effectively, communicates awareness of issues and schedules with other key personnel within the department and/or external to the department as needed.
- Responsible to perform timely, proactive, accurate, and prompt project deliverables.
- Collaborates project management support, as necessary, with applicable committees.
- Assist, support and project manage customized staff training in an effort to prepare staff and management for various practitioner group reactions to standard and non-standard communications.
- Provides back-up support to Vice-President, Management and Supervisory staff.
- Provides proactive and creative solutions.
- Ensures accuracy and productivity in project completion and works cooperatively with all internal and external contacts.
- Supervises assigned staff in conjunction with assigned projects and ensures that accuracy and productivity meets/exceeds Company standards.
- Coordinates workflow of department ensuring that productivity, quality and timeliness standards are met.
- Evaluates performance, provides constructive feedback, and conducts counseling and training sessions as needed.
- Supports staff in the accomplishment of assigned objectives and projects.
- Supports department functions as they interface with other operational and clinical departments to ensure efficient and effective teamwork is maintained within the organization, Coordinating Committees and work teams as defined by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Health Care. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
- Three years of progressive administrative support experience including project management.
- Excellent computer skills including word processing, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and email.
- Knowledge of ASH specialty health care operations and clinical administration helpful.
- Experience in a health care related field preferred.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to identify timelines and action plans and see projects through to completion.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communication via telephone.

Physical Requirements
Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Ability to travel outside State of California by airplane.
