Job Title: Facility Manager
We are looking for a Facility Manager (Male Preferred) to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our resort facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in facility management, specifically within the hospitality or beach resort sector. The candidate should possess a professional degree in Facility Management or Engineering, with a strong understanding of maintenance operations and safety protocols. This position requires a proactive, results-driven individual who is dedicated to maintaining the resort to high standards and ensuring the comfort and safety of our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations & Maintenance:
- Oversee the daily operations of the resort’s facilities, ensuring all areas (e.g., rooms, pools, restaurants, and public spaces) are clean, functional, and well-maintained.
- Supervise and manage the facility maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and to a high standard..
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the resort adheres to all safety regulations, health standards, and environmental laws.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, addressing any issues that arise to ensure guest and staff safety..
Budget Management:
- Manage the facility maintenance budget, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources for maintenance, utilities, and repairs.
- Monitor and control facility-related expenses and prepare financial reports for senior management.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Implement energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs and minimize the environmental impact of the resort.
- Coordinate waste management, water conservation, and green initiatives to improve the resort’s sustainability profile.
Guest Experience & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the hospitality and operations teams to ensure the resort’s facilities support an exceptional guest experience.
- Respond to guest complaints and requests regarding facility-related matters, ensuring quick resolutions and high satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and motivate the facility maintenance team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork within the maintenance department.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all facility maintenance activities, including service logs, inspections, safety audits, and vendor contracts.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting key activities, upcoming maintenance needs, and any issues requiring attention.
Requirements
- Gender:Â Male (Preferred)
- Experience:Â Minimum of 5 years in facility management, with specific experience in the hospitality or beach resort industry.
Qualifications:
- A professional degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Facility Management (e.g., IFMA or similar certification) is preferred.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of facility management practices, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to manage teams, implement maintenance schedules, and ensure efficient operations.
- Experience managing facility budgets, financial reporting, and vendor relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Crisis management skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve emergency situations effectively.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills..
