University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship 2025-2026 Overview
The Sanctuary Scholarship at the University of Glasgow supports up to 30 undergraduate and postgraduate students who have been forced to relocate to the UK for humanitarian reasons. The scholarship is open to applicants for the September 2025 intake and covers tuition fees, living expenses, and accommodation for those who meet the eligibility criteria.
University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship 2025-2026 Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold a firm conditional or unconditional offer for full-time study at the University of Glasgow in 2025/2026.
- Have sought asylum in the UK or be appealing a negative asylum decision.
- Have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP), or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the UK Home Office.
- OR have entered the UK under specific resettlement schemes, such as:
- UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)
- Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme
- Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS)
- Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine)
- Ukraine Family Scheme
University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship 2025-2026 Benefits
- Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of the program.
- £5,000 annual stipend to cover study costs.
- University accommodation for those eligible.
- Partial tuition fee waiver for eligible postgraduate students with refugee status.
University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship 2025-2026 Application Process
- Apply for admission to the University of Glasgow.
- Once you receive an offer, submit the Sanctuary Scholarship application.
- Provide supporting documents, such as:
- Application Registration Card (ARC) or Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).
- Immigration Bail Reporting Notice or relevant Home Office documents.
- A share code proving your right to study in the UK (if applicable).
Additional Information
- Changes in immigration status may affect scholarship eligibility.
- Applicants will automatically be considered for donor-funded scholarships covering only the £5,000 stipend.
