The Jiangsu Jasmine Government Scholarship, established by the Jiangsu Provincial Government, supports excellent international students who wish to pursue full-time degree or non-degree programs at universities and colleges in Jiangsu, China. The initiative aims to enhance the global appeal of Jiangsu’s educational institutions and foster cultural and academic exchange.

Applicants must:

• Be non-Chinese citizens in good health

• Agree to abide by Chinese laws and university regulations

• Not be recipients of other Chinese scholarships simultaneously

• Meet the admission requirements of the host institution

• Have a strong academic record

Age and Educational Requirements:

• Undergraduate/College programs: High school diploma, under age 30

• Master’s programs: Bachelor’s degree, under age 35

• Doctoral programs: Master’s degree, under age 40

This scholarship also applies to non-degree and exchange students, as per agreements or MOUs between Jiangsu and foreign governments, institutions, and universities.

1. Full Scholarship Includes:

• Tuition waiver (includes registration, lab experiments, internships, and basic textbooks)

• Free on-campus accommodation or CNY 10,000 accommodation allowance per year

• Monthly living allowance: CNY 1,500

  • Full allowance for registration before the 15th of the month

  • Half allowance if registered after the 15th

• Comprehensive Medical Insurance

2. Partial Scholarship Options:

• College students: CNY 20,000 per academic year (1 year)

• Undergraduate/Postgraduate students: CNY 30,000 per academic year (1 year)

• Non-degree/Exchange students: CNY 2,000 per month (3–12 months depending on the agreement)

Application Process

1. Visit the official Study in Jiangsu portal

2. Register an account

3. Complete the online application form and upload the required documents

4. Print the form, sign it, and mail it along with notarized documents to the scholarship management team

• Scanned passport photo page

• Highest diploma or certificate (notarized)

  • If still in school, provide a Certificate of Enrollment

• Academic transcripts (notarized)

• Two recommendation letters (for postgraduate applicants) from professors/associate professors

• Any other supporting documents

  • Documents not in Chinese or English must include notarized translations
