Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Overview

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) in Nigeria is a transformative initiative aimed at developing the next generation of ethical, entrepreneurial, and socially responsible leaders. The program offers full scholarships and extensive support to academically talented but economically disadvantaged students, with a strong emphasis on leadership, service, and career success.

Pan-Atlantic University is the first Nigerian university to partner with the Mastercard Foundation for this prestigious program, with a goal to empower 650 scholars over 10 years.

Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Demonstrate academic excellence

• Show strong leadership potential

• Demonstrate financial need

• Be young women interested in STEM programs, or

• Be internally displaced youths, or

• Be young people with disabilities

• Show commitment to community service and giving back

• Have 5 credits in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings

• Score a minimum of 220 in UTME (subjects must include English and three others from Arts, Sciences, or Social Sciences)
