The Université de Montréal (UdeM) offers an exemption scholarship program designed to reduce international tuition fees, helping talented students from around the world pursue higher education at one of the top French-speaking research universities globally. This initiative is part of UdeM’s commitment to academic excellence and cultural diversity. The program is renewed through Winter 2026.
Université de Montréal Exemption Scholarship for International Students 2025 Eligibility
To qualify for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship, applicants must:

Be international students (excluding French and French-speaking Belgian students).

Have received an offer of admission to a UdeM degree program (starting from Fall 2020).

Not be enrolled in a short undergraduate or independent study program (e.g., certificate, major, minor, or preparatory year).

Possess valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit) for all sessions.

Be continuously enrolled full-time for the duration of the program (unless an absence is approved).

Not already benefited from another tuition fee exemption.
