Backend Engineer at Graph, Lagos, Nigeria

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable backend services for our fintech products. This role requires experience with modern backend frameworks, database management, and API development.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Proficiency in languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Version control experience (Git)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with fintech or payment systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
