Reach Oxford Scholarship 2026 | Fully Funded Undergraduate Study in the UK: Overview

The Reach Oxford Scholarship (formerly Oxford Student Scholarship) is a fully funded opportunity for outstanding students from low-income and developing countries who, due to political, financial, or educational limitations, cannot pursue a degree in their home country. It supports talented students to complete undergraduate studies at the University of Oxford in almost all subjects (except Medicine).

Eligibility

• Nationality: Must be from a country receiving official development assistance (DAC list of OECD). Examples: Nigeria, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Kenya, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, etc.

• Level of Study: Undergraduate (new students only).

• Subjects: All subjects except Medicine.

• Other Requirements:

  • Must have received an offer of admission from Oxford.

  • Must demonstrate exceptional academic ability, strong financial need, and social commitment.

  • Applicants should plan to return to their home country after their studies.

  • Priority is given to students who have not studied at an undergraduate level before.

Benefits

Fellowship/Program Components

• Around 2–3 scholarships awarded each year.

• Annual progress reports are required.

Application Requirements

• Apply for admission through UCAS by 15 October 2025.

• Hold a confirmed offer of admission at Oxford.

• Submit the Reach Oxford Scholarship online application form by 4 February 2026 (12 noon, UK time).

Selection Criteria

• Outstanding academic merit.

• Demonstrated financial need.

• Strong social commitment.

• Inability to study in the home country due to a lack of resources or political reasons.

Application Process

1. Apply to Oxford for an undergraduate course via UCAS by 15 October 2025.

2. Receive an offer of admission.

3. Apply online for the Reach Oxford Scholarship (application opens 14 January 2026).

4. The selection process takes place in March 2026.

5. Final results will be released by May 2026.
