Overview
The International Postgraduate Merit Scholarship C at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is designed to support outstanding international students enrolling in eligible postgraduate taught or PGCE programmes for the September 2026 or January 2027 intakes. This scholarship is automatically awarded to students paying overseas fees, based on their final undergraduate results.
Eligibility
To qualify for this award, applicants must:

Be classified as international fee-paying students.

Hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme or PGCE at UEA.

Have achieved one of the following in their undergraduate studies:

Equivalent of UK 2:2 bachelor’s degree classification – £4,000 award

Equivalent of UK 2:1 bachelor’s degree classification – £5,000 award

Begin their course in September 2026 or January 2027.
Note: Grade equivalences are listed on UEA’s country pages.
Students from the following countries should instead apply for the relevant merit scholarship:

Scholarship A: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan

Scholarship B: Colombia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe

Restrictions with Other Scholarships

This award cannot be combined with any other UEA scholarships except the International Early Payment Award.

If eligible for another UEA scholarship of higher value, it will automatically replace this one.
Application Process

No separate application is required. The scholarship is automatically awarded based on your academic performance and eligibility.
