To ensure production processes, management, and control of product quality within a Making and Packing Machine combination are in line with Best Practices. To ensure that manufacturing activities within the complex under his jurisdiction are carried out correctly to meet volume demand and quality specifications in line with SMD’s best procedures, at an effective cost, in a hygienic and safe working environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensures daily production targets are met in terms of volume and brand mix, and that machine availability meets the set target for machine uptime.
• Ensures set quality parameters are maintained during manufacturing, & Staff compliance with EHS standards
• Ensures the supply of materials from supporting departments for processing.
• Plan and implement development programmes for subordinates & ensure operational records are kept, and other administrative tasks are attended to.
• Operates within the agreed budget.
• Ensure adequate communication among Team members and maintain the desired communication between all partners.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering and a maximum 2-3 years’ experience.
• HND or solid relevant experience.
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work in Excel and other computer-related systems.
